Pangasius or basa fish (Pangasius hypothalmus) has been grown by Vietnamese fish farmers in cages along the Mekong River for decades. As a lot of people have discovered pangasius is a very tasty fish with a delicate texture and nice white flesh, low in fat. Pangasius is emerging as an important substitute specie for wild white fish, which is reflected in an significant increase in export volumes and values. By strictly conforming to the HACCP, the frozen fillet is processed and packed in the freshness conditions. There are three popular colors of fillets in current commerce: white, pink and yellow. This is the farmed fish so the volume is rich and stable for processing and exporting whole year round.
